Amir Navab
Amir Navab is a Managing Partner and Wealth Advisor of Great Gable Advisors, LLC. Amir is responsible for leading the firm’s Wealth Advisory initiative and working hand-in-hand with families to develop tailored solutions to protect and grow their wealth.
Amir Navab has served the needs of families for over 25 years while previously working at Smith Barney, UBS, Morgan Stanley and most recently, as a Principal of the PNF Group at RBC Wealth Management. As a fiduciary, Amir advises high net worth families across all aspects of their complex financial lives.
After growing up in London, England and attending the American School in London, he graduated from Claremont Mckenna College (CMC) in California, with a BA in Economics and International Relations. Amir was a dual sport athlete, competing on both CMC’s soccer and tennis teams. While Amir has since hung up his soccer cleats, he continues to compete actively on the tennis courts.
Amir, his wife Yasmin and their two daughters live in Beverly Glen area of Los Angeles. On weekends, Amir and Yasmin often attend their daughters gymnastics and figure skating competition.

Jacques Soenens
Jacques Soenens is the Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Great Gable Investments, LLC. Jacques is responsible for leading the firm’s family of funds and advising to the firm’s wealth management efforts.
Jacques has spent the past 25 years researching and investing in both the public and private market arena, across sectors and through varying economic cycles, for institutional, family office and high net worth investors. Following his experience as a research analyst at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (DLJ) and Prudential Securities in New York, Jacques co-founded Osmium Partners, LLC in San Francisco before founding Great Gable in 2005. Great Gable’s mission is to protect and grow client assets while bringing together diverse ideas, perspectives and talents.
Jacques was raised in Europe and the United States. Jacques earned his B.S.M in 1993 from Tulane University A.B. Freeman School of Business. He is frequently invited to his alma mater to present & mentor students about the capital markets and alternative investing. Jacques serves on several boards of private companies as well as the California Tennis Club in San Francisco and the American School in London Foundation.
Jacques and his family live in Mill Valley, CA and spends much time outdoors playing tennis and basketball. Jacques has enjoyed volunteering as a youth coach for his children’s sports teams and is an avid amateur photographer.
Damion L. Smith

With almost 23 years in the industry, Damion offers a seasoned professional who is competent to assist you in life-changing financial decisions.
After graduating from The University of Southern California with a bachelor of science in Finance, he began his career in financial services. Damion combined his knowledge of numbers and the desire to help people live more meaningfully, especially in retirement, to realize both his personal and professional goals.
Damion believes a balanced life is the essence of happiness. As such, he’s dedicated to helping his community be a better place to live and work. As a former quarterback of the legendary USC Trojan football squad, Damion enjoys attending home and away games as well as chauffeuring his daughter to her weekend activities and watching his older twin daughters finish school at Princeton University and Spelman College. Damion and Judy have been married 22 years; she has been his most valuable asset.
Cheyenne Cali
Operations Assistant
Cheyenne Cali is the Operational Assistant for Great Gable Advisors. She works directly as support for each member of the Great Gable team as well as the contact for all client service needs. Based out of our LA office she builds and maintains client and advisors’ relationships.
Before joining the Great Gable team, Cheyenne spent 9 years as a business operation professional. Originally from upstate NY where she received a degree in Advertising Art and Graphic Design. She migrated West to Colorado where she spent 6 years in the Cannabis Industry directly involved in business development. Ultimately venturing further West, to California where she spent 2 years opening and operating custom clothing stores for a NY based company.
Settling in West LA, Cheyenne loves spending time cooking with her family and friends. On warm days you can find her soaking up the sun on the SoCal beaches and on cold days venturing to the mountains for snowboarding adventures. She never tires of discovering all of what California has to offer.
Ansley Cargill
Director of Research
Ansley Cargill is the Director of Research at Great Gable Investments, LLC. Ansley is responsible for managing our research effort with the goal of achieving the firm’s investment objectives.
Ansley has spent the last sixteen years investing in public and private markets both directly and indirectly through external manager selection. Ansley joined Great Gable Investments, LLC from the family office world where she worked for thirteen years as a Senior Financial Analyst at East Asset Management, LLC, the Family Office of a Forbes 500 family. Prior to this, she was at Morgan Stanley, in institutional sales & trading, working closely with pension funds, hedge funds, and mutual funds.
Before starting her financial career, Ansley was the top junior tennis player in the United States and the top ten junior in the world. She was the number one recruit in the nation and signed with Duke University, where she played the top singles position on the Women’s Varsity team. Ansley was ranked number one in the NCAA as a freshman, earning All-American honors as well as National Rookie of the year. She later turned professional and achieved top rankings of 67 in the world in doubles and 90 in the world on the WTA tour in singles. She played in nine Grand Slams. She also has a USTA high-performance coaching certificate and enjoys coaching and mentoring some of the top American juniors.
Ansley grew up in Atlanta, GA and currently lives in Boca Raton, Florida, with her family.
